I was using my Jabra Bluetooth headset with my Samsung Galaxy S phone without any issues, but somehow although compatible with iPhone the Jabra Bluetooth headsets were not getting paired. A little bit of tinkering finally worked and here is the exact procedure you need to follow to get them working with your Apple phone.
Since, most of the Bluetooth Jabra headset's have only a single button to get all things done (start, stop, pair etc.), following the exact procedure outlined below and making both your Apple Device and headset in discovery mode does the trick :
- Make sure you have Bluetooth turned "ON" on your Apple iPhone as shown below, by navigating to - Home screen -> Settings -> General -> Bluetooth -> On.
- Press and hold the answer/end button of your Jabra Bluetooth headset for 5 seconds until the button turns solid blue, the device is now in "manual pairing" mode and should be detected by your phone.
- The iPhone should now list your Bluetooth accessory, use 0000 or 1234 as your Passkey or PIN to get it paired and working.
Since, most of the Bluetooth accessories follow the same pattern for discovery this procedure should hold good for majority of these devices.
