Wondershare MobileTrans : The 1-Click Utility For Phone Data Transfer Between iOS, Android, Symbian and BlackBerry

Wondershare MobileTrans LogoIf you’re anything like me (and probably countless others out there), you have likely felt the frustration of wanting a new and cutting-edge cell phone but knowing that you could never own it. Why is this? Well, because the desired cell phone runs on iOS and all your current devices run on Android (or vice versa), and because it is just way too difficult or next to impossible to synch your information with your new phone.

Sometimes, even when you upgrade your phone, which runs on the same operating system as the previous one, you’ll find that you lose a certain amount of information when leaving your old phone behind as many phone companies simply do not help you transfer your important data, such as photos, calendars and music. You’ll be lucky if you manage to retain your contacts.

I have often thought that there has got to be a way around this, and, after a bit of research, I discovered an amazing and powerful data transferring tool by the name of Wondershare MobileTrans which was able to assist me very efficiently with my issue. This tool easily transfers files between iOS and Android devices and works like a dream.

It also has the ability to transfer contacts and messages between Blackberry and iOS and Android. The utility also supports 3,000+ Phones models including iOS, Android, Symbian and BlackBerry as their mobile-OS.

Google Tone – Share URL's Via Audio To Computers Within Earshot

The latest experimental utility from Google Research's kitty is Google Tone. The Chrome extension enables users to broadcast and share URLs over audio signals. Google Tone uses your computer's microphone and speakers to exchange URLs with nearby computers connected to the Internet. Any computer, phone or Hangout conversation within earshot that also has the Google Tone extension installed and turned ON can receive a Google Tone notification making sharing url's effortless.

How Google Tone Works?

Tone works on a mechanism that is very much similar to human voice. This Google extension is very aptly named Tone as it has many attributes matching the human voice. For instance, it cannot pass through walls like radio frequencies or require an address or pairing to reach to the receiver. The click of a button produces a chirruping sound from your computer speakers, and this is what sends the URL to other devices that are in the sound hearing range. The chirruping sound is both a dual tone audio (DTMF) and ultra-sonic signal. This has been specially engineered to work reliably even at low volumes in short distances for many different types of audio environment.

The Race For "One OS For All Devices" - Ubuntu Vs Windows 10

With a phenomenal increase in mobile and tablet users, converged computing is definitely going to be the next big thing in the world of technology. To elaborate, "Phone–PC convergence" means a single app Eco-system and user-interface across mobile, tablet or Desktop computing devices. The technology industry has already prepped the end users for the shift. Ubuntu was without the doubt one of the first major OS name to afloat the idea and even start working on it, with options ranging from Ubuntu Edge, Ubuntu For Cars or the Nexphone concept the idea is now well conceptualized and waiting to became a reality sooner or later, recently Microsoft also joined the race with Windows 10 and started talking about the idea of "Universal Apps" across the Windows devices Eco-system. Microsoft has also taken the first step to make way into the Linux stronghold of "Internet of Things (IoT)" devices with it's "Windows For Devices" initiative and has already started offering free Windows 10 for Raspberry Pi 2.

In a recent presentation Mark Shuttleworth founder of Canonical’s Box (the company to market commercial support for Ubuntu) focused more on the convergence, specifying that currently Ubuntu’s phone application platform can already resize and fit applications to fit the different screen sizes, including smart phones to windows desktop screen sizes.

Here is a peep on how both Windows and Ubuntu are being remodeled around convergence and what are their USP's.

Microsoft Windows 10 Would Be The Last Version Of Windows

It seems Microsoft has found it's 'nirvana` with Windows 10, the developer announced that Windows 10 will be its last version of operating system at Ignite 2015 conference in Chicago. This announcement surely ruffled some feathers here and there. Everyone around was skeptical as to what strategy is Windows adopting. Some gurus say, its a mere publicity stunt but some tech gurus point out to another pattern, Windows is going to adopt and enact upon.

When the announcement came that Microsoft will not go ahead with any other versions of Windows, people worldwide were amazed and confused. Initially everyone thought for a second that Windows was shutting down but when clarifications came, people started speculating its strategy according to their analyses. Some learned people say that the Windows will keep a pattern similar to Apple's. Apple launched its Mac OS X, 15 years ago and has been updating it since then. Every major update Apple brings for its OS X is named differently, but the basic OS remains the same. This is definitely a better approach to avoid fragmentation in the Windows OS Eco-system which Microsoft's is aiming to converge not only on Desktop but across all devices in future.

Google Android 6.0 Codenamed "M" - What To Expect...

In 2012 at the Google I/O event, Google announced Android Jelly Bean on June 27th, and its release date followed on July 9th, 2012. During the Google I/O 2013, Google announced the release of Android Kitkat via the Google’s Official Blog on October 31, 2013. During the event at Google I/O 2014, the announcement of Android Lollipop occurred on October 15th, 2014. Afterward, its release was later during the year on November 12th, 2014 via the Google’s Official Blog. The yearly trend seems to be similar to Google’s announcement and release of higher versions of Android. It seems like history usually repeats itself. Hence, if we go by the history then there is expectations of Google to release the latest version of Android with the codename M in its upcoming event; Google I/O 2015 conference. The announcement could happen late this month of May since the developer conference begins on May 28th, 2015 and ends on 29th in Moscone Center West in San Francisco, CA. Its release is expected to happen later during the year between the end of October and early November.

Google Android M

Google has always named its previous versions of Androids after their sugary treats during the conference starting from Apple to the latest one Lollipop. Therefore, going by the company’s naming trends in history; individuals have started guessing what the next Codename M could be. Perhaps it could be Marshmallow, Mint, Mentos, Milkshake, M&M, MilkyWay, Macaron, Muffin, etc. Several individuals bet it would mostly be Marshmallow, but there’s no assurance yet; thus time will tell.

People have a lot of expectations about Google Android 6.0 Codenamed M. The first one is improved security; Android M may bring about a significant change in protecting the privacy of users. According to Android Headlines, Google might introduce Smart Lock to its next version of Android to enable users to keep their phones and details safe from unauthorized access. It would save the users from having to create passwords several times to secure their smartphones. Besides, the Smart Lock would ensure that the Android users can connect their phones to Bluetooth and NFC gadgets and remain unlocked, even though; the smartphones are connected to such devices. This would be a great way to save the users who rarely lock their phones. Additionally, there are anticipations that Android M might include a feature that can block apps from seeing the user’s contacts. For instance, users would choose either to let apps like Facebook access their locations, but deny them the access to their contacts. Isn’t this an achievement? Of course, it is and enhances the security of the users.
