The wait is finally over as official .ISO DVD image file links for Microsoft Windows 8 Developer Preview Build is now available for public downloading (as posted at the end of this post), to get started with the new operating system user will require a minimum hardware specs of - 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor, min. one Gigabyte RAM , 16 GB available hard disk space, DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.

According to the Windows Version information screen (Windows Key + R; then type "winver"), it says on mine (USA Eastern Time Zone):
"Evaluation copy. Expires 3/11/2012 7:59 PM"

I am using Windows 8 and all previous applications are working fine, I am not sure about games but they should work fine as Windows 8 basically shares the same core as Windows 7.

i think there is a crack to this windows 8 developer preview..
and you can search on megaleecher and check if there any crack or serials ;)

After installing the developer copy, what happens after the expiry date? Do we have to reinstall a previous version of Windows or will an update have to be purchased?

If the latter, any idea whether it will be at a discounted price having had the evaluation copy previously installed?
