Firefox 22 has taken the crown of being the world's fastest web-browser from Google Chrome in the latest authoritative benchmarks carried out by TomsHardware. The comprehensive web-browser benchmark uses geometric mean of various performance and non-performance metrics to score the final result. Web-browsers are benchmarked for four performance related metrics namely Wait Times, JavaScript/DOM, HTML5/CSS3, and Hardware Acceleration with four non-performance metrics like Memory Efficiency, Reliability, Security, and Standards Conformance to decide the final score. As evident from the data chart below, Firefox 22 is not only the winner in performance category but also the non-performance part.
