Start Menu 7 is a free utility which replaces the standard Windows Start Menu with a more easier to use better looking menu, basically what Start Menu 7 does is that it displays the menu-items in a more natural and easier to find alphabetically sorted order.
Start Menu 7 Features :
* The list of menu items is alphabetically sorted, so you can easily find any program or command by its name.
* Open any location on your PC with a single click.
You can create, modify, and reorder items in Start Menu 7. So it's easy to create a list of the most used locations, popular directories, and virtual folders to access them with a single click.* There is a special Run button to access seldom used locations without adding them into menu.
* Start Menu 7 has a customizable Power Buttons panel.
* With Power Timer feature you can delay any of power management operations.
The utility supports Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 and 2003 and also have a PRO version which requires a payment of $19.99 to unlock the "Tabbed menu" feature.

WOW! Just what I've been
WOW! Just what I've been looking for! I'm reluctant to leave WinXP Pro for Win7, though I know I will have to do so eventually, so this is a way to "dip my toe in the water" with Win7.

nice tool - but don't bother xgrading
You won't *have* to leave XP for Windows 7, find an alternative, I think it's the biggest scam yet. Some fancy frontends and polished UI and they call it a new version - same old code running everything, same virus- and spyware-ridden software, great business model they've got going there. This looks like a good tool to fix a confused start menu tho' - thanks.

Thanks, but I'm already very happy with the freeware version of Classic Start Menu.
