Spat between Late Steve Jobs And Adobe Flash is well-known among the tech-circle, surprisingly Adobe has dropped down their weapons and announced not to further develop the "Adobe Flash Plugin" for mobile devices anymore. According to the official blog-post announcing this Adobe is encouraging developers to use Adobe AIR and HTML5 in the future as alternatives to the Flash web-plugin.
Supporting the HTML5 standard Adobe says :
"HTML5 is now universally supported on major mobile devices, in some cases exclusively. This makes HTML5 the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms. We are excited about this, and will continue our work with key players in the HTML community, including Google, Apple, Microsoft and RIM, to drive HTML5 innovation they can use to advance their mobile browsers."
"Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores. We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations (chipset, browser, OS version, etc.) following the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook. We will of course continue to provide critical bug fixes and security updates for existing device configurations. We will also allow our source code licensees to continue working on and release their own implementations."

its a joke..i guess

flash not dead
problem : FlashPlayer is restricted to CPU processing.
HTML is just a markup for your hardware to do the processing. (usually GPU in mobiles )
So it makes sense that they have stopped developing the mobile version.
If mobile manufacturers want it , let them make better hardware.
It doesn't devalue the flashPlayer at all.
All the Apple fanboys are jumping for joy ... for no literal reason.
Their hardware cpu's STILL can't run flashPlayer. (must be great cpu's )
Air has been around for ages... Can make software that has access to the mobiles GPU , databases etc...Great for making mobile apps.
So Flash is NOT dead..
Actionscript is alive and well..
Air gives us the ability to run Actionscript on mobile devices.
***** PS***
FFS... Javascript doesn't even run well on mobile devices But people expect flash to ?
