Google is testing a brand new design for Youtube and here's a little hack you can do right-now to enjoy the swanky new layout before official release.

To get started with the new YouTube design follow the steps below :

  1. Launch www.youtube.com in Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
  2. If using Firefox press : Ctrl+Shift+K and if Google Chrome : Ctrl+Shift+J to open developer Tools.
  3. In the developer tools console paste document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=ST1Ti53r4fU"; and hit enter.
  4. Reload YouTube website and enjoy the new layout.

If I enter this "code" into developer tools console and "activate" the new youtube's layout, is there any possibility to undo it and get the old one back? In case I don't like the new one...
Should I just delete all cookies from youtube, or...?

For me, it works if you clear your browsing history (after ticking all options). Maybe just clearing the cookies would help. But I'm sure, it can be reverted to the original look, unless YouTube officially releases it.

really love the 'hack' :P been using dev tool on Chrome for a while now and the new version of YouTube is sleek :D

I got this error "SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL"

how i wan to keep the new style in my google chrome. because every time when i restart my google chrome, it will return back to old style again..
