Making Your Android Device Connect In "Samsung Kies Mode" Or "PC Suite Mode"

Like most of the other mobile devices Samsung Android devices also support three modes of connection - "Samsung Kies", "Media Player" and "Mass storage", out of the three "Samsung Kies" or "PC Studio" mode allows users to manage their devices using company's "Samsung Kies PC Studio" utility and even upgrade device firmware versions.

After plugging-in USB cable the device automatically connects in the pre-configured mode if not already opted for "Ask on connection" mode, here is how to configure the device to get connected into the mode of choice.

Samsung Kies PC Studio MTP Application Mode
  1. On your device navigate to Settings -> Wireless and network option.
  2. Select the "USB settings" option.
    3. Samsung Android Mode Selection
  3. Now select your connection mode of choice.
    4. Kies Mode Selected
  4. From now-on your device will get connected in this pre-configured mode.

Samsung Kies Mode allows you to manage, organize, backup and restore you device contacts., music, videos, pictures etc. with ease. You can also check for and upgrade your device firmware using this mode and software.

I just updated to 2.3.5 and now when i try to go on kies it asks me to go on pc suite mode. So i go to settings, wireless and network. I look for usb settings but its not there, theres only usb utilities and in that theres no samsung kies

I think there is a wireless android app called Web PC Suite to do the process now
