Like most of the other mobile devices Samsung Android devices also support three modes of connection - "Samsung Kies", "Media Player" and "Mass storage", out of the three "Samsung Kies" or "PC Studio" mode allows users to manage their devices using company's "Samsung Kies PC Studio" utility and even upgrade device firmware versions.
After plugging-in USB cable the device automatically connects in the pre-configured mode if not already opted for "Ask on connection" mode, here is how to configure the device to get connected into the mode of choice.
- On your device navigate to Settings -> Wireless and network option.
- Select the "USB settings" option.
- Now select your connection mode of choice.
- From now-on your device will get connected in this pre-configured mode.
