HOW CAN I CALL PAKISTAN FROM NEWYORK FOR FREE

200 mins are free only if you use soft phone to dial destination number. You can't use SIP or ATA. Don’t know the reason what they want to restrict customers.

The account gets blocked after some time and you will lose your money in the process,

I came across many blogs and found a big& only problem. That betmax block user accounts after few days usage. If somone try to approach them they do not reply. So my suggestion is to pay, always, using paypal then you can raise a dispute and get ur money back atleast.........................betmax is type of fraud company...it has more than 15 voip products and with every product they behave like immature. So be careful before deciding and tranfering money to Betamax............

I am not a representative neither will i gain any benefit from this comment, but, i just felt to mention that i am using Lowratevoip since last 6 months and never seem to get any kind of problems. It always worked smooth for me. The thing i noticed is two days ago, they have removed PAKISTAN from the free destinations list, that's perfectly alright with me, since i still get a far cheaper call and a far better quality as compared to many other services.

yeah they usually block account in ur free days , for example first i paid them with my credit card they loaded up my account after exactly 4 days they blocked my account
when i asked them they said we havent recevied ur money , when
i check my credit card it was already charged , i asked them that you have charged my credit card already
in return i got reply from their customer representative

"We dont want you as customer , do not contact us again , we are putting your email list in spam"

i was shocked , luckily i got my transaction reversed by my bank...

another one of my friend bought credit same thing happened to him but his account was not blocked instead he wasnt able to dial any call each time it says "You are not allowed to make calls"
though he had credit in his account and it was his free day

he mailed customer service , they replied him your resouliion is on ur FAQ so we wont reply you we have small team

this betamax doesnt have any thing called customer service they block ur account specially in free days so that you are not able to take beniefts they are just hungry for money

Hi All rates are now much higher and no free days? Any better options out there?

Lowratevoip has started cheating with people by increasing the tariff without prior notice and has finished free calls/reduced tariff during free days. so now its not good for calling PAKISTAN as now many people are switching to other VOIP s/w.

They launch multiple sites so they can rob people more then just one time. Lowratevoip don't even give you the 200 free min they tell you. And you will see the rates rising up as you keep calling.

Plz be carefull when you topping up ur account or creating new with any Betamex service. They show lowrate in their list to attract payments but charging higher. Voice quality is very bad these days. In Saudi Local resellers are not answering unless you pay money. They keep increasing rates without notice.

I read somewhere that Pakistan telecom has raised the tarriff on the calls thats why all the calls have gone up... i have switched from lowratevoip to voipraider.com and had been using it successfully for like 4-5 months. so far it has been great.....

Be careful guys!!! do not use ur credit cards for topup..the rates they r showing r diffrent thn the rates u get when u dial the number.ive gone thru diffrent comments, n i had been using voipwise for 6 months, for pakistan it was giving me 0.01€/mint.last week i switched to voipraider, the voice quality is too bad. i'm using voipwise in nokia E51 (SIP). I chcked voipwise website for sip user instructions but could not find how to check credit balance in Nokia. If anybody can help. (i can chek in computer but i want to know whether is there any IVR command to check credit balance in nokia).

I have been using www.webacall.com to make Voip calls to pakistan it was very good service with call rate 0.04/pm but recently they raised their charges for pakistan $ 0.135. I used it for 6 months but due to recent rasied charges i stoped it. This is very good service with per second billing.

Best way is to setup voip in both places. for example, I have set up a USB VOIP phone in pk and on here in uk. it is plugged into my internet and doesnt require the PC to be on. I can call pk for free anytime for however long i want to.
Its just like using msn voice chat.
And if u have a wireless internet connection its easier, bcz then u can get voip software for your mobile phone (Fring - this uses msn talk, gtalk, skype and others) and then be mobile whilst being free. You can then call from free WiFi hotspots around the world for free for ever. But in pk wifi is rare and for usb voip u have to stay in one place, like landline. but its free unlimited! the best. there are some voip that work with 56k internet connection too, giving a decent audio quality. so you can even call your gaow.

Guys try TPAD. You will receive calls on TPAD account and somebody from Pakistan will be calling you from his telephone.
Anybody from Pakistan will dial a local no. from Pakistan from which a computer will prompt and ask for TPAD no. of the user to whom they want to call. You have to get that TPAD no. by registering at TPAD and already told to ur relatives in Pakistan. They will dial that and you will receive call here free. Also it will cost them as low as local call.
