Orkut SMS lets users stay in touch with their contacts using SMS from their mobile phones, Orkuters can now receive and send new scraps, get friend info using text messages on their mobile device's.
Unfortunately the service is not free and is only available in Brazil and India as of now, you need to register your mobile number by visiting this Mobile Settings page in your Orkut settings to activate.

hey noobs, u kw what.... its nt so simple..... u need to kw something at it .... and just keep yourself nd ur webpage ... nd dont try to make a fool out of people..... the feature u r talking about has already been disabled by orkut..... if u wanna kw more i will tell u wat is the current truth....... to enable this feature .... u need to go to the notifications tab and there there comes the opt for it.. u just have to click in a check box, of course after registering ur mobile... then it will be something truth.. but nw this feature has been disabled by orkut..... so sit at ur homes and close ur pretty website......
