Much awaited iPhone client of popular P2P VOIP service Skype is expected to soon hit the Apple iTunes store in coming week for public download, once available the client application will let Apple iPhone and iPod touch users use cost-effective Skype VOIP telephony service over Wi-Fi and 3G networks, the Skype client application is expected to be made available for free but as usual will need paid account upgrade for full featured Skype functionality.
For users looking for free VOIP calling facility from there iPhone/iPod Touch devices there already exist quite a few VOIP client applications like Nimbuzz allowing users to make free VOIP calls from there devices over Wi-Fi.
