While trying to resurrect an Apple iPhone 3G stuck in a reboot loop at boot logo, I found that the only solution is to go for an factory unlock service and restore to the original iPhone iOS firmware with current modem version. Apple needs the correct baseband/modem version to enable the legal factory unlock via iTunes, and if you have the iPad baseband 06.15.00 it wont work. UPDATE : There seems to be a bug in ultrasn0w 1.2.8 when used with iPhone 4 having modem 01.59.00 on iOS 6.1. So Pls. do not proceed with following steps until this gets fixed.

Some good news for Apple iOS users looking to upgrade there iDevices to latest iOS 6.1 but need an untethered jailbreak to enjoy there devices to it's full capability.
